Sample Submission & Courier Collection

Summit Laboratory Services remains committed to providing a professional, prompt, and reliable courier service for our clients. We currently operate a daily pick-up route around metropolitan Adelaide (twice daily) and a regional route that encompasses the Adelaide Hills and includes areas of the Murray lands and Fleurieu Peninsula regions.

Our scheduled courier services operate between 9:00am and 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. Any requests for additional collections outside these hours require 24 hours’ notice. To arrange a sample pick-up, please email our Client Services team with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice at: clientservice@summitlab.com.au. When booking, please include:

  • A completed Sample Submission Form – required for samples to be accepted.
  • Any specific details relating to sample pick-up locations to assist with scheduling.

Sample size should ordinarily be limited to 100g or 100mL sample, depending on the commodity and test required. When submitting samples for chemical/allergen analysis, alongside microbiological testing, please provide a separate sample for the chemistry/allergen testing. If you are submitting samples for both allergen and additional chemistry testing, please provide two separate additional samples.

To ensure the integrity of your samples please ensure:

  • Samples are packed securely.
  • Eskys or ice packs are used to maintain recommended temperatures.
  • Swabs arrive at Summit Labs within 24 hours of sampling, at a recommended temperature of 2-8°C.
  • Water samples arrive at Summit Labs within 24 hours of sampling, at a recommended temperature of 2-8°C.

Our Client Services team will contact you if any samples arrive outside the designated time or temperature specifications.

\If you are one of our many clients who have scheduled regular pick-ups during the week, we would kindly ask if you could provide us with at least 24 hours prior notice if any changes are required to a regular sample pick-up day or time, via our Client Services team on: 1300 386 811.

Pick-up times generally exclude after-hours, public holidays, and weekends; however, urgent weekend, emergency or priority pick-ups are available on request and will incur an additional fee.
